What it is used for
- Bacterial vaginosis
- Trichomoniasis (a sexually transmitted infection)
- Certain other bacterial and protozoal infections (under medical advice)
How it works
It kills the bacteria and certain parasites responsible for these infections by damaging their genetic material, restoring the normal balance in the vagina or clearing the infection.
How it is taken
Comes as oral tablets and as a vaginal gel, and is also used for other infections in different forms. Complete the full course exactly as your doctor, pharmacist, or label directs, even if you feel better, and ask about avoiding alcohol during and just after treatment.
No doses here on purpose. The right strength and schedule depend on you — only a doctor or pharmacist should set them. Always follow your prescription and the label.
