Purpose of this policy
iHealix connects patients with independent, verified healthcare professionals. The safety and integrity of that connection depends on every user — patients and providers alike — using the platform honestly, lawfully, and with respect for others. This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) exists to protect that environment and to comply with our legal and regulatory obligations.
This AUP is incorporated into the iHealix Terms of Service by reference. Capitalised terms used here have the same meaning as in those Terms.
Permitted use
You may use iHealix to:
- access healthcare services (consultations, prescriptions, lab tests, medicine delivery, home or nurse visits) for yourself or a person in your lawful care;
- communicate with independent providers about your health and the care they are delivering;
- view, download, and share your own health records, prescriptions, and results for personal healthcare purposes;
- submit insurance claims for services received through the platform; and
- provide feedback, ratings, and reviews honestly and in good faith.
Prohibited conduct
Misuse of the platform may result in suspension
Violations of this policy may result in suspension or permanent removal of your account without refund, and may be reported to the relevant authorities where appropriate.
You must not:
- Obtain medicines or services improperly. Use the platform to obtain prescriptions, medicines, or health services for resale, for a person other than the patient identified in the consultation, or in breach of applicable controlled-substance laws.
- Provide false information. Give false identity information (including impersonating another person or a healthcare professional), false medical history, or fabricated symptoms to obtain care, a prescription, or a refund.
- Harass, threaten, or abuse providers or staff. Engage in any conduct towards a provider, a courier, or a member of the iHealix team that is abusive, threatening, discriminatory, or harassing — whether in a consultation, in-app messaging, or in any other channel.
- Abuse the refund or dispute process. Make false or exaggerated claims to obtain refunds, chargebacks, or credits.
- Record consultations without consent. Record or redistribute a consultation — including any video, audio, or transcript — without the prior explicit consent of the independent provider.
- Use the platform for unlawful purposes. Use any part of iHealix to facilitate fraud, money laundering, drug trafficking, the purchase or resale of controlled substances, or any other activity that is illegal in your jurisdiction or ours.
- Scrape, probe, or reverse-engineer the Service. Use automated means (bots, scripts, crawlers) to access, scrape, or index any part of the platform without our written consent; probe or test the vulnerability of the platform without authorisation; or attempt to reverse-engineer or extract source code from the apps or APIs.
- Upload malware or harmful content. Upload, transmit, or distribute viruses, malware, ransomware, or any code designed to interrupt, damage, or limit the functioning of any software, hardware, or telecommunications equipment.
- Circumvent security or access controls. Attempt to access accounts, data, or systems you are not authorised to access; bypass authentication mechanisms; or attempt to override rate limits or access controls.
- Infringe third-party rights. Upload or share content that infringes copyright, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights, or that violates the privacy rights of a third party.
Accurate health information
The quality of care you receive through iHealix depends on the accuracy of the health information you provide to the independent provider treating you. Providing incomplete, false, or misleading medical history, current medications, or symptoms:
- may result in a clinical decision that is harmful to your health;
- may lead a provider to prescribe a medication that is contraindicated or unsafe for you; and
- constitutes a breach of these Terms and this AUP for which iHealix bears no responsibility or liability.
You are responsible for the accuracy of all information you provide on iHealix, including information provided on behalf of a minor or dependant in your care.
Standards for providers
Independent providers (doctors, nurses, pharmacists, laboratories, hospitals) registered on iHealix are also bound by this AUP, in addition to the separate Provider Terms of Service. Providers must not:
- prescribe, dispense, or recommend medicines or treatments outside the scope of their professional registration and applicable law;
- misrepresent their qualifications, registration status, or scope of practice;
- solicit patients to move off-platform or to bypass the iHealix payment system to avoid our fees;
- share patient information with any third party other than as required for the care of that patient or as required by law; or
- engage in any conduct towards patients that is discriminatory, abusive, or unprofessional.
Providers are independently responsible for compliance with applicable professional standards and regulatory requirements. This AUP sets a platform floor; it does not limit those obligations.
User content
When you post reviews, feedback, or other content on iHealix, you confirm that it is honest, accurate, and not defamatory. You must not post content that is misleading, harassing, obscene, or that infringes the rights of a third party. We may remove content that violates this policy without notice.
You retain ownership of the content you post, but you grant us a licence to use it as described in our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
Security and technical integrity
iHealix invests significantly in securing the platform and the health data it carries. Any activity that threatens that security — probing, scanning, injecting, or otherwise attempting to compromise systems — will be treated as a serious breach and reported to the relevant authorities.
If you discover a security vulnerability in the iHealix platform, please report it responsibly to info@innoedgetech.com before disclosing it publicly. We are committed to working promptly with good-faith security researchers.
Enforcement and consequences
If we determine — in our reasonable judgement — that you have violated this AUP or our Terms of Service, we may take one or more of the following actions:
- issue a warning;
- suspend your account temporarily, pending investigation or corrective action;
- permanently remove your account (in which case applicable refunds, if any, will be subject to our Refund Policy);
- report the matter to law enforcement, the relevant professional regulator, or another appropriate authority; or
- take civil or legal action to recover losses or obtain injunctive relief.
Where we suspend an account pending investigation, we will notify you and give you a reasonable opportunity to respond unless doing so would prejudice an investigation or put others at risk.
Reporting misuse
If you believe another user or provider is misusing the platform — or if you experience abusive conduct — please report it immediately:
- In-app:use the “Report” option available in the consultation or feedback flow.
- By email: info@innoedgetech.com with the subject “Report: platform misuse”.
Reports are treated confidentially. We will investigate and take appropriate action, but may not be able to share the outcome with you for confidentiality reasons.
Changes to this policy
We may update this AUP from time to time to reflect changes in our service, applicable law, or best practice. When we make a material change we will update the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the Service after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised AUP.
