How it works
Mebeverine relaxes the muscle in the wall of the gut directly, easing the spasms that cause cramping pain and discomfort, without strongly affecting normal gut movement.
How it is taken
Comes as tablets and modified-release capsules, and sometimes a liquid. It is taken by mouth, often before meals. Take it exactly as the label or your clinician directs; swallow modified-release forms whole.
