How it works
Hypromellose is a watery lubricant that adds moisture to the surface of the eye, replacing or supplementing natural tears to relieve dryness and grittiness. It coats and soothes the eye without treating any underlying disease.
How it is taken
Comes as eye drops, including preservative-free single-use vials for frequent users. A drop is placed into the affected eye(s) as often as needed for comfort. Wash your hands first and keep the dropper tip clean. Follow your pharmacist's or label's instructions, and apply this after other prescription eye drops, spacing them apart.

Common side effects
- Brief blurred vision after applying
